On 9 September 2024, Ambassador Chatchai Viriyavejakul led a team of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy, Beijing, and the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate, Ulaanbaatar, in paying a courtesy call on Ms. Hulan Ganbaatar, Director-General of the Asian Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
The two sides exchanged opinions on ways forward to strengthen and enhance bilateral relations between Thailand and Mongolia which celebrate 50 years in 2024. Issues discussed include exchange of high-level visits, expansion of economic cooperation, and intensification of travels to and from each others’ countries.
DG Hulan also congratulated the Thai side on the successful organisation of the 2024 Thai Festival in Mongolia on 8 September 2024.
