His Excellency the President of the People’s Republic of China,

Beijing.

The Queen and I are profoundly shocked and saddened by the senseless bomb attack at Ratchaprasong Intersection in Bangkok which caused the loss of so many innocent lives, among whose numbers were visitors from China. We wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and, particularly, to members of the bereaved families who have been inflicted with irreplaceable loss in this tragic incident.
