           Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing hosted ASEAN Ladies Circle Tea Gathering Showcasing Khon and Traditional Thai Arts
         On 29 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Ambassador of Thailand to China, presided over the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Ladies Circle Tea Gathering. The event was attended by over 100 participants, including women diplomats, spouses of diplomats from ASEAN Member States based in Beijing, and representatives from the ASEAN–China Centre.
          On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy arranged for a delegation from the Department of Fine Arts, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, to participate in the joint Thai–Chinese exhibition at the Palace Museum. The delegation presented a Khon performance and conducted demonstrations of traditional Thai arts, including Khon mask face painting, gold-thread embroidery, and mirror mosaic decoration, for members of the ALC to observe and appreciate.
         The event also featured Thai cuisine, alongside the promotion of the special exhibition “Golden Friendship, Shared Brilliance”, organised to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Thai–Chinese Diplomatic Relations. The exhibition is being held at the Palace Museum (The Forbidden City), Hall of Literary Brilliance.
