Excellency,
It is with the most profound sadness that I inform Your Excellency of the terrible explosion that took place in central Bangkok on the evening of 17 August 2015 which resulted in many casualties, some of whom are Chinese nationals.
We strongly condemn this despicable act. A thorough investigation into the incident is being conducted to bring the perpetrators to justice with a view to maintaining public safety and security.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of Thailand, I wish to convey my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you and, through you, to the bereaved families of the innocent victims of this horrific incident. Emergency assistance has been provided to those affected and the situation is now under control. I wish to assure you that the Thai Government will do our utmost to render assistance to all the affected persons and families.

I wish to express my deepest sorrow and sympathy to you, and through you, to Chinese nationals who have been affected by the terrible explosion in central Bangkok on the evening of 17 August 2015.
Please convey my thoughts and prayers to the families of the innocent victims. The situation is now under control and please rest assured that the Royal Thai Government will continue to do our best to provide assistance to the injured and the families of the deceased. An immediate and full investigation into the incident has already been undertaken in order to bring the perpetrators to justice. I believe the incident has served to bring the Thai and Chinese people together in condemning this despicable act of violence.
