เมื่อวันที่ 23 มีนาคม 2569 นายฉัตรชัย วิริยเวชกุล เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง ได้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองฉลองครบรอบ 10 ปีการประชุมผู้นำกรอบความร่วมมือแม่โขง-ล้านช้าง (Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: MLC) ครั้งที่ 1 โดยมีนายหวัง อี้ สมาชิกกรมการเมือง ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานคณะกรรมการกลางด้านกิจการต่างประเทศประจำพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีน และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศจีน เป็นประธาน โดยมีนายซุน เว่ยตง รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศจีน เอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิก MLC ตลอดจนผู้แทนภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ของจีน ทั้งหน่วยงานภาครัฐในส่วนกลางและมณฑล Think Tanks และสื่อมวลชน รวมทั้งองค์การระหว่างประเทศ และสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนเข้าร่วม รวมประมาณ 100 คน
Ambassador of Thailand attended the Reception Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the First Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting
On March 23, 2026, H.E. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Ambassador of Thailand to China, attended the Reception Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the First Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Leaders’ Meeting. The event was presided over by H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. The reception included approximately 100 participants, including H.E. Mr. Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassadors from MLC member countries, and representatives from Chinese central and provincial government agencies, think tanks, media, international organizations, and embassies of ASEAN member countries.
ในงานดังกล่าว นายหวัง อี้ ได้กล่าวว่า เมื่อ 10 ปีที่แล้ว กรอบ MLC ได้เริ่มต้นขึ้นเพื่อช่วยส่งเสริมความร่วมมือที่เป็นประโยชน์ร่วมกัน และประเทศสมาชิกต่างยึดมั่นในวิสัยทัศน์ของผู้นำและส่งเสริมความร่วมมือจนเกิดผลที่เป็นรูปธรรมและเป็นตัวอย่างของการสร้างประชาคมที่มีอนาคตร่วมกันสำหรับมนุษยชาติ และย้ำให้ประเทศสมาชิกยกระดับเป็น MLC 2.0 เพื่อมุ่งสู่ทศวรรษใหม่ ผ่านความร่วมมือด้านความเชื่อมโยง การพัฒนาสีเขียว นวัตกรรม การเรียนรู้ระหว่างอารยธรรมในภูมิภาค การบริหารจัดการน้ำ และการปราบปรามอาชญากรรมข้ามพรมแดน
เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง ได้กล่าวว่า นับตั้งแต่การประชุมผู้นำ MLC ครั้งที่ 1 กรอบ MLC ได้พัฒนาเป็นหนึ่งในกรอบความร่วมมือระดับภูมิภาคที่มีพลวัตสูงในการช่วยส่งเสริมการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคม พัฒนาชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของประชาชน ลดช่องว่างการพัฒนาในภูมิภาค และสนับสนุนกระบวนการสร้างประชาคมอาเซียน โดยที่ผ่านมา ประเทศสมาชิก MLC ได้ร่วมมือกันอย่างใกล้ชิดและดำเนินโครงการความร่วมมือที่เป็นรูปธรรมภายใต้ความร่วมมือทั้ง 3 เสา ตลอดจนรับมือกับความท้าทายใหม่ ๆ พร้อมขอบคุณรัฐบาลจีนสำหรับความสนับสนุนต่อกองทุนพิเศษแม่โขง-ล้านช้าง ทั้งนี้ ไทยพร้อมเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมผู้นำ ครั้งที่ 5 ในปีนี้เพื่อผลักดันการสร้างประชาคมแม่โขง-ล้านช้างที่มีอนาคตร่วมกัน
นอกจากนี้ ในงานดังกล่าว ยังมีการจัดนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายหัวข้อ “A Golden Decade along the Mekong-Lancang: Forging a Community with a Shared Future” และเปิดตัวรายงาน 2 ฉบับ เรื่อง “Building a Community with a Shared Future among Mekong-Lancang Countries: A Common Vision and Practical Pathways” และ “Master Plan for Connectivity, Common Development, and Deep Integration in the Mekong-Lancang Region over the Next Decade”
Minister Wang Yi said that the MLC framework was established on this day ten years ago to foster mutually beneficial cooperation. He noted that member states have consistently upheld the Leaders’ vision, resulting in tangible progress and result that set an example for the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. Minister Wang Yi also called member states to jointly build an “MLC 2.0” as the MLC ushers in a new golden decade, through connectivity, green and innovation-driven development, mutual learning among civilizations, water resource management, and cooperation to combat cross-border crimes.
Ambassador of Thailand said that since the First Leaders’ Meeting, the framework has evolved into one of the most dynamic and effective platforms for regional cooperation, playing a pivotal role in advancing socio-economic development, enhancing people’s well-being, narrowing regional development gaps, and supporting the ASEAN Community Building. He also highlighted the close collaboration on concrete projects across all three pillars of cooperation and expressed deep appreciation to the Chinese government for its continued support to the MLC Special Fund. He reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to host the 5th MLC Leaders’ Meeting later this year to realize the Mekong-Lancang community of a shared future.
The reception also featured a Photo Exhibition entitled “A Golden Decade along the Mekong-Lancang: Forging a Community with a Shared Future” and the launch of two reports: “Building a Community with a Shared Future among Mekong-Lancang Countries: A Common Vision and Practical Pathways” and “Master Plan for Connectivity, Common Development, and Deep Integration in the Mekong-Lancang Region over the Next Decade.”
