According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report on January 7th, 2016 found that there is a total of 1,626 cases in 26 countries with 586 deaths confirmed affected on the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS); and European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) report on January 14th, 2016 found that there is a total of 1,649 cases, with 638 deaths. All cases are from the following 26 countries (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Austria, Tunisia, Algeria, Malaysia, Philippines, United States, Republic of Korea, China and Thailand).
