เมื่อวันที่ 26–30 สิงหาคม 2569 นายวรพจน์ เจนสวัสดิชัย อัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมด้วย น.ส. ฉลองขวัญ ถาวรายุศม์ ที่ปรึกษา เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Lancang-Mekong Cooperation River-Source Dialogue ณ นครซีหนิงและเมือง Zadoi เขต Yushu มณฑลชิงไห่ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ต้นน้ำของแม่น้ำล้านช้าง ตามคำเชิญของรัฐบาลมณฑลชิงไห่
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว อัครราชทูตฯ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะนาย Wu Xiaojun เลขาธิการคณะกรรมการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีนประจำมณฑลชิงไห่ และประธานสภาประชาชนมณฑลชิงไห่ และนาย Luo Dongchuan ผู้ว่าการมณฑลชิงไห่ โดยได้กล่าวชื่นชมการจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าว ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับโอกาสครบรอบ 10 ปีการประชุมผู้นำกรอบความร่วมมือแม่โขง-ล้านช้าง (Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: MLC) ครั้งที่ 1 ในปี 2569 นี้ และเป็นโอกาสสำคัญที่ฝ่ายไทยจะได้เรียนรู้และรับทราบแนวทางการดำเนินงานของรัฐบาลมณฑลชิงไห่ในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรน้ำบริเวณพื้นที่ต้นน้ำของแม่น้ำล้านช้าง
อัครราชทูตฯ ย้ำว่า ไทยพร้อมส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับมณฑลชิงไห่และประเทศสมาชิก MLC ในด้านการอนุรักษ์และบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรน้ำ การขยายการค้าและการลงทุน การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวและการแลกเปลี่ยนระดับประชาชน ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์เมืองพี่เมืองน้องระหว่างมณฑลชิงไห่กับจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ให้เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรมต่อไป
Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing Attends the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation River-Source Dialogue in Qinghai Province
At the invitation of the Qinghai Provincial People’s Government, Mr. Varapote Chensavasdijai, Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, accompanied by Ms. Chalongkwan Tavarayuth, Counsellor, attended the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation River-Source Dialogue, held in Xining City and Zadoi County, Yushu Prefecture, Qinghai Province — the source area of the Lancang River — from 26 to 30 August 2026.
On this occasion, Minister Varapote paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Wu Xiaojun, Secretary of the CPC Qinghai Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Qinghai Provincial People’s Congress, and H.E. Mr. Luo Dongchuan, Governor of Qinghai Province. Minister Varapote commended the convening of the Dialogue, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the 1st Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Leaders’ Meeting in 2026. He noted that the Dialogue provided an important opportunity for Thailand to gain a better understanding of Qinghai Province’s policies and efforts in ecological conservation and water resource management in the river’s source area.
Minister Varapote reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation with Qinghai Province and MLC member countries in areas of mutual interest, particularly water resource conservation and management, trade and investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. He also expressed support for advancing the establishment of sister-city relations between Qinghai Province and Chiang Mai Province, which would further promote local-level cooperation and closer ties between the peoples of Thailand and China.
